Don't know what else to type...haha.Bear with it.It's just a freaking title. Whoah finally i have the time to blog,after 4 days of not switching on the comp. Not to forget my PHONE too. So i'm pretty much disconnected to my gadget.Boohoo. And i'm glad to say that,i survived. such a miracle.haha.
Anyways,went for the leadership training and here are some of the things that i've gone through;
FIRST DAY: The campers was all designated to 14 different groups. Apparently, i was in group 7. -Those who are in my group was Me,Heidi,Chee xiong and adi. -Our facilitators were De Cong and Pei Qi.
Basically the first day of the camp was spend in school compounds.First stop was knowing about each of our group members. We had learnt alot of stuffs about leadership on the first day. The teachers kept on stressing on the basic foundation of being a good leader;which is none other then our own Prss values;PRIZE. We did a variety of team building games and mostly spend the day hearing to workshops.Learnt how to pitch a tent,it wasn't hard at all considering that i know how to pitch one a long time ago.The night ended quite early,which is at 1.30 am.If i were to compare this camp with the Red Cross camp, rc would definitely be much more later then this.I could say that the first day wasn't that tough.It was average to me.
SECOND DAY: The girls was asked to bunk in 1e4 and 1e5 classes respectively,the previous night.On the second day, we were told to pack our belongings and to proceed to Sentosa. The journey to Sentosa was basically spend by staring at the bus window and by falling asleep seconds later.Yeah, the bus trip wasn't that amusing.Set foot on the island,only to be told that we need to practise our cheers.Got a new team mate,as Adi was off doing his Ncc stuffs.His absence was filled up with Ms lim's daughter,Denissa.My group was off 15 minutes later into the game,as the time of our game was depended on the flag design and its description which we did yesterday.After we cheered, got the first clue to the game.Decided to take our first transportation,as the destination was all the way across the island.
Some of you might be wondering what we're doing right? We're having the Amazing Race.Our own version,except for that we're only travelling across the island of Sentosa,not around Singapore.See there's a difference. It was defintely challenging at the part when we're at the last two checkpoints.It was the satelite dish checkpoint to be exact.We had to go all the way in and took pictures and to act out a chirade.Add all of this up with our heavy harversacks.It was darn tiring,having to climb up and down the steep hills.It rained during lunchtime.Everything just got tougher by afternoon,just when we're halfway through the race.Gosh. Our final checkpoint was at the big field.Was pretty excited,knowing for the fact that the race was going to be over and not having to carry such a heavy load.Made our way to the field and that was when the race gets more challenging. Group 10 was behind us and we were all running up the hill,shouting encouraging remarks to our own team mates to catch up.I'm proud to say that group 7,managed to cling on the third place.*claps hand*Had dinner and pitched tent after that. Then it was lights out.Concked out half way through the night,only to be woken up and told that it was going to rain.Had no choice but to change our sleeping arrangements to the carpark.Went to the carpark and slept like a log.Was too tired and my whole body was aching.
THIRD DAY: Final day on Sentosa.Final day of the camp.Final day of carrying a heavy harversack.Thank god.It was also the final day of mingling with our fellow sec2 batch of student leaders.Shall meet them again next year then. We were supposed to be doing beach games,but due to the last minute arrangements,it was cancelled.Instead of enjoying ourselves on this final day, what we did was to pitch up our tents once more to check if there's any things which we might have missed.It was actually the campers fault,in my opinion.We were vigilant enough to handle such an easy task of unpitching the tents at the field.what's done is done then,no point getting all worked up about it. I guess,we have to learn from our mistakes and only by that could we be successful leaders. After the pitching of tents,we were assembled into our own groups and was given some pieces of papers to fill up.Was dismissed at 12 something if i'm not mistaken.Oh yeah, each one of the us who were present there was given a 'student leader' t-shirt each.The whole group of us have decided to change our shirts into the green shirt.It was so striking.haha...i bet people from far could easy spot us due to the color of our shirt.Oh well...
Took the beach tramp and changed to te red line bus after that to proceed to Habourfront.Took bus no.65 from there and alighted at the end of the bus ride.-Tampines interchange. The bus ride was funny with people such as me,Zahirah,Shukrie,Hani,Farhanah,Iffah and selwyn who were crapping all the way.lol... it was so lame.By the time we reached the interchanged,everyone was feeling cold and was delighted to alight.We headed to school to check on the classes and subject combination that we're given next year.I'm so happy of getting History as one of my sub.comb...weee!! Went to have our lunch at Burger King after that.We spend almost an hour in there eating. Since everyone's full,decided to head home as we're tired.
Here i am right now in my green shirt typing my hearts out in front of the screen.Phew!That was one long post.Now i'm going to take a long bath and pamper myself with all the facilities which i've missed having for the past three days.Heavens!
Oh yeah,here's my team's cheer.In memory of the crazy team which had bonded throughout the camp.I'm glad to certify that each one of us in the team is offically 'crazy'.
Our team is red hot! Let's show 'em what we got we got the spirit C'mon lets do it to*clap*an*clap*do*clap*ah*clap* TO-AN-DO-AH!!
Do we rock? Yeah,yeah Move it to the top? yeah,yeah Are we gonna stop? No way!!
hahahahaha...okkie....the cheer's a bit funny.Heck care,we enjoyed it.Why bother then, right? My team had been supportive of each other and it was a nice thing to know that we're helping each other out in times of need. What i'm trying to say is simply that, group seven rocks! We rock to the top.And we're not gonna stop.No way!! ahahhahaa!!!!! Okkay i'm crapping.
