Had the First Aid duty for the NPDP. Which stands for the national police day parade? Oh well. Whatever the name stands for. Met up with my old buddies from the course which i took 2 months ago. So cool la they all. Funny. In the morning had the english remedial thingy with ms ng. Was late. Sorry people...tired. These days i get tired easily.....hahaha..
Anyways...we took a cab to HQ as we had predicted that we're going to be late if we took the train. Reached the HQ and reported to the Sirs and Ma'ams. This time round, not many turned up but still it was fun. Nicky Sir was briefing us on what to expect during the parade and the trial run itself. Dozed off while he was talking. During the trial run, there were around 22 casualties. Followed by another 13 more half an hour afterwards.Whoah.Quite a lot of people at the base. The protocol for today was 1 person squads down, a stretcher must get in. And out goes the casualty lying on the stretcher. It was fun fun fun,man. Getting to evacuate the casualties out of the parade ground and filling up the casualty's form. Syiok. But as a first-aider, we must always put ourselves in their shoes. Some sort of that thingy. Did you know that a stretcher squad consists of 3 to 4 first-aiders? Well, now you know. Hahaha...during the parade itself, there was only 1 casualty. One of the flag bearers to be exact. Got stuck in the NPCC grounds until 8 plus as there was a traffic jam and as a result we played a lot of silly games while waiting for the bus to transport us back to HQ. My poor hands got beaten umpteen times by that evil Selly and Raga. Evil. It's all the scissors papers stone thingy. URGH!!!!!! I am going to get my revenge back. Reached home quite late and slept like a log until morning. Now am typing as i can't sleep after being awake for no reason. Oh well.I'm weird.
